THE HOUSE

Ethical Sourcing

We cannot claim perfection, only that we ask the right questions — and act on the answers.

Responsibility, for a small atelier, is fundamentally a matter of proximity: knowing the people and places behind what we make, and refusing materials we cannot account for. We openly share what we do, alongside what we are still working to solve.

PROVENANCE

Knowing Where It Comes From

We source from a small circle of suppliers we know personally, tracing the mine, quarry, or workshop behind each incoming parcel. Where we cannot verify a material’s journey, we simply do not stock it.

Transparency is an active discipline, not merely a piece of paper. We keep our atelier records open to any question our clients wish to ask.

PEOPLE

Fair Work, Named Faces

The craftspeople who shape, cut, and polish our stones are part of the same trusted network we source from. We ensure compensation above local standards and we pay on time — the essential fundamentals of fairness.

We would rather make less and honor our craftspeople properly than scale on the backs of hands we have never met.

MATERIAL

Less, Chosen Well

Our entire atelier is built upon restraint. A curated selection of enduring minerals and organic cords, composed with intention, generates far less waste than an endless shelf of fast variants.

Unused components naturally return to the atelier working library rather than entering a landfill.

RESPECT

Culture, Not Costume

The symbols, knots, and contemplative forms we use carry deep spiritual meaning for many traditions. We approach them as a respectful guest would — with reverence, attribution, and care, never reducing a sacred practice to mere surface decoration.

When we are unsure, we leave it out. Quiet reverence is far more valuable than appropriation, and endures much longer.

OUR STANCE

Responsible, and Still Learning

We stand by what we craft today, while remaining honest about where we can do better. If you choose to hold us to these standards, that is exactly as it should be.
